Incoming! I'm worried I am missing some of your messages as they are flying in from all avenues.
Here are some Frequently Asked Questions, answered! I will make a whole page of helpful Jelly Journal tips in the near future.
Thank you so much intrepid Journalers!
Q:What is Jelly Journal?
A: Jelly Journal is a website dedicated to celebrating all things Jellycat. The main function, you could say - is that Jelly Journal wants to build the biggest and most comprehensive archive of all Jellycats. This is so the Jelly community can lovingly build an online visual representation of their beautiful Jellycats and share with friends, family and beyond!
You can customise your profile, add photos, read posts and delve into blogs - and that’s just the beginning! Jelly Journal was founded in March 2025 and we have so many exciting plans!
Jelly Journal was created by Tash and her clever husband, Dudley. The website is completely bespoke and aims to be a cosy and safe corner of the internet for all like minded people. Jelly Journal is not a business with a team working on it round the clock. Just two enthusiasts that decided to be brave and share their passion project.
Q: How do I add a Jellycat to my Collection?
A: You’ve got a range of options to add Jellycats to your collection. You must of course, be signed up with an account.
You can browse on the home page - there are three tabs ‘Coming soon’ ‘Recently added’ & ‘Popular.’
You can also click ‘Jellycats.’ There you can freely scroll around and see what Jelly you come across! Perhaps you want to browse by category i.e. ‘Amuseables Food & Drink’? No problem, that is what the coloured tiles at the top are.
You’ve also got free reign to type in what you are looking for by clicking on search.
When you’ve found your Jellycat, click on ‘add to collection’ and hey presto you’re on your way to building a collection! You can input the price you paid for it too! It gets more fun as you can upload your very own photo to give it that journal vibe! Neat, right? Other info on that specific Jellycat is also available for you to read.
You’ll also see a heart icon as well, this is to save to your wishlist - my wishlist is ever growing!
Q: How do I upload a photo?
A: Ah yes, let’s go back to this one real quick. You’ve searched for a Jellycat, and now you want to show off your IRL version. I don’t blame you, I love to see them.
Click on the Jellycat, scroll a little and there you will find ‘Community Photos.’
Click ‘Add your photos’ and the rest is a piece of cake. Please take the time to read over the tips, super helpful. I hate having to reject your submissions!
Which leads me nicely on to my next point, all photos are checked! These aren’t instant uploads. Keep it focused on the Jellycat, don’t show details of your car, home etc etc. I’ve had some beautiful submissions that are so creative, so let’s keep it purely about the Jellies.
Q: I can’t find a Jellycat, what should I do?
A: When we started Jelly Journal we had a humble handful of Jellies to add to your collection… The total is way over 1500 now, and counting - daily!
When beginning the site, I always imagined I would just merrily add Jellies as and when, it is fun for me to come across special retired ones or vintage ones from back in the day! But I do have a request a Jellycat function on the website, let’s get into it:
Jellycat tab, scroll to the bottom. There you will see the ‘request a Jellycat’ button. Please enter as much information as you can to help me. I have been inundated with requests, and whilst I appreciate all the enthusiasm and desire to have every single Jellycat on the site, I was never in any rush to get this done as soon as possible, I wanted it to be a journey.
Each request I have to manually research and create its profile, doing just a small batch can take hours. I do love trawling through your requests and reading about Jellies I never even knew of! However, I have also had some less than kind demands for them to be uploaded, please be nice. I am trying as hard as I can!
Intermittently this request function can be turned off, and that may happen from time to time, just so I can start to work my way through things.
Q: I love the site - how can I help?
A: I get so many wonderful messages everyday, and I am so sorry if they get missed in all the Jelly madness! I do see them, and they DO make my day.
As previously mentioned, we are just a duo working super hard to create something for this brilliant Jellycat community. But just like you, life and other things still happen all around us.
The offer in itself is just beyond kind. Admin and research side of things still remain with us, as all our tools are bespoke, but who knows what the future may look like!
We do have a ‘Buy me a coffee’ button on the site. This takes you to https://buymeacoffee.com/jellyjournal with a little explainer. The cost of a ‘coffee’ is £3, any donation is hugely appreciated. It goes towards helping with costs to run the site, which are ever changing and increasing! BUT! There is NEVER any obligation to do this! Just your enjoyment is fantastic.
Oh, and I do love seeing your Jelly Journaling across social media, it’s so much fun! So if socials and sharing are your thing, please feel free to get as creative as you want in spreading the good word of Jelly Journal.
Q: Do you have an App?
A: Not yet, but honestly it is the dream for us! In a fast paced digital world; an app is a dime a dozen these days, so I understand why we get asked this so frequently! Big companies have the man power and the money to compliment their sites with an app. However, for us - it will be a journey of learning and funding. Boring answer, sorry!
But I am one determined lady and if I want something to happen, it will. We both (as a team) like to remain in control and educated in any decision we make. Rest assured it is the top goal for us and our Jelly Journaling community.
