Happy Friday, Journalers!
I have so many new friends on Jelly Journal, I do not want to let any of you down.
I’m going to go over the basics of what happens when I add Jellycats to JJ, so let’s jump on in:
Jelly Journal Library
Here you can search for Jellycats and add them to your collection or wishlist.
You can scroll the entire library, type in a Jellycat or have a browse through the categories.
Request a Jellycat
This function is found at the bottom of the library page.
Sending me information correctly and with a SKU is such a lifeline - it really helps!
However, retired, old / rare and exclusives etc. are tricky! I need to ensure I am able to use certain images, I have the correct info - and sometimes I just cannot find it. They don’t get forgotten, they get filed for me to have another go at.
At the time of writing I am currently looking at a list of nearly 5k requests, wowza!
My own research
When Jelly Journal was something only I used; I’d do my own research and upload Jellies. Now it’s a welcome home to all you wonderful fellow Jellycat collectors… I still like to find time to do my own research! I like to go through Jellycat lookbooks/catalogues and work on certain collections, years - or sometimes just ones that jump out at me!

Social Media requests
I get a lot of these - I scrabble them up and get to work with them when I can. I have so many requests and across different platforms I’m sorry if I don’t confirm back to you a Jelly has been uploaded, please keep eyes peeled :)
The correct name, SKU and any photos are also of immense help. But please be aware, I get a lot of messages and I’m so sorry I just don’t get to see/action them all.
Help with research
I have had so many wonderful offers to help with the Jellycat Library, you are all so incredibly kind! Not to bore you all but the systems we use are completely bespoke. My husband built them, and at this time it is just something we both have a hold of. However, I can be known to reach out to you for some help with images/info etc - and you are all so brilliant at getting involved!
Additional
There’s at least 20,000+ Jellycats varying in design and size, it’s a voyage to discover and find them all. Other than relentless research, that is all I have to go off.
It has been unfortunately known I get less than friendly contact from some. It is a shame as it makes me feel a little nervous and sad that I am not doing enough.
No Jellycat requests are prioritised, it’s just data to me - lots of it!
Mix in all the other things it takes to make a website work and I just don’t have enough hours in the day.
This isn’t a common occurrence, but it can knock me, I never saw this as a race - more of a goal and achievement we can all share!
My biggest thanks and appreciation.
T x
